I got my test today on tsh found result level of 7.62,should I start kanchhar guggulu tablet from patanjali for this problem or allopathy tablet which suggested by Dr. of thyronorm 50, I am hesitant to take allopathy medicine.

Hello, Thanks for the query. With TSH at 7.62 mU/L, it is high. However, if there are no troublesome symptoms present, you need not start the treatment immediately. You can check TSH again after 6 to 8 weeks and if increases further say > 10 mU/L then there is a need for treatment. Also if you already have any symptoms related hypothyroidism then treatment is required. Only treatment for hypothyroidism is taking appropriate dosage of Levothyroxine , there is no other treatment. If you do not want to take those tablets, that is your choice. Thanks.
