Hi doctor, my baby diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism since birth in screening, she is on 50 mcg in early phase for two weeks, now doctor has reduced it to 25 mcg, we are giving her 25 mcg thyronorm, due to which she is unable to sleep calmy, she used to sleep for 20 minutes then awake, then sleep, awake after few minutes, what is an issue?

Hello, thanks for the query. Madam I am sure the doctor who has reduced the dosage must have looked all the aspects and then decided about the reduction of the dosage. Are aware about the tsh value now? Because dosage is bsaed on that and the symptomatic improvement observed. Please talk to the concerned doctor and get your doubts clarified. Appropriate dosage of levothyroxine is the only treatment for this condition. Thanks.
