Hi I am 28 year old female. As per doctor guidance I had taken sotret 20 mg tab course earlier. After this treatment my acne completely went off and oiliness was also reduced in face. Now after 8 months again my face started becoming too much oily and acne also popping up which is painful. As of now these are appearing near the cheeks. I use lacto calamine lotion to balance oiliness in face. However it does’t control completely. I just use gel based moisturizer and do not use cosmetics. Can anyone suggest me what cream/lotion will be useful to control oiliness in my face. I do not have any hormonal issue and do not want to undergo sotret 20 mg tab course again.

According to me if you are not planning for pregnancy sotret 20 would be first choice. But if you don't want than you can use topical antibiotics like clinamycin or banzoyl paroxide along with salicylic acid base face wash. But still you need to visit near by dermatologist's for proper guidance.

The treatment of acne differs according to the grade of involvement. Some people have more oilyness on the face which results in breakouts. After completing treatment for controlling the active breakouts, tablets can be stopped and creams need to be continued to prevent recurrence. Diet and lifestyle modifications are also important. Please don't do any self treatment such as over the counter Steroid creams. Don't burst the pimples with your fingers as it can result in ugly scars. The marks and pores left behind after the pimples heal can also be treated. Please send your photos through online consult option for detailed prescription and diet advice.,
