Hi ,my mother is suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, mild asthma and osteo arthritis. Is it safe for her to take covid vaccine. Any parameters like bp or blood sugar that need to be taken care of before administering vaccine.

It has been clarified on nuber of occasions that people above 60 years of age, with co-morbidities like diabetes, high bp and other conditions should take covid vaccine as early as possible, because these people are vulnerable for getting infected and following that the severity of the condition can be bad. So please see that she gets the first dose as early as possible. Second dose should be taken as the hospital instructs, that is after 28 to 45 days before. There is no special report needed to be carried. Thanks.
