The risk of dvt and its complications from not taking the anticoagulant is much much higher and therefore it would be unwise to stop them. However if your surgeon has been treating it for a few years and feels that the condition is much improved, he/she may recommend a lower dose or even stop the anticoagulant. That being said, the risk of clotting from the vaccine is very very small and in my opinion should not matter. Your mother should not have any issue getting the vaccine while being on the anticoagulant as it may well even be beneficial. However I would recommend you talk to your mother's doctor as he/ she would know your mother's medical history better to give you the right advise.

Dear user, yes she is eligible to take the COVID vaccine. That is not a contraindication for the vaccine. she can go ahead with it. This has to be mentioned to the doctor prior to the vaccination. Good Luck.
