Doctor my age is 18. In my right eye coming floaters and flashes. And sometimes when I close my eyes and open suddenly a black vision comes and going pls tell me doctor. It will get permanent vision loss. I go to hospital and doctor said you have eye nerve weak spots. Pls teel doctor what to do.

Hello. Floaters and flashes can be normal or abnormal too. Few spots moving about your visual field can be common. But consult an eye doctor immediately if there is a sudden increase in their number or there is shadow like a fall of curtain. To say anything about permanent loss of vision with the limited history and information about you will be very premature at this time. An eye doctor would like to know if you have any glasses or not? If yes, what is the power and since how long you have been wearing them? Are you using them regularly or occasionally? Is there any history of high power glasses in your other family members? Also if any of them got operated for any eye surgery! these are few questions regarding the same. But let me assure you that most of the conditions are treatable if diagnosed early.
