My mother (50 years) has taken covishield vaccine. She's on some medicine because of pain in certain parts of body. The Dr. has given following medicines 1. Finecure 2.nurich plus 3.calnate 500 should she continue taking these even after vaccine? As consumption of diclofenac is not allowed after the vaccine. Please answer.

In my opinion, she should be fine to continue the medication she already is taking even after the vaccination. If she is not in pain she could avoid the diclofenac but otherwise she can take take it or your doctor can suggest an alternative painkiller. Dicolenac or similar drugs from the nsaid group are not advised as they may cause reduced clotting. In people who develop fever or body pains after the vaccination, it is better to take paracetamol (dolo650/ crocin/ calpol) as they do not have the risk of causing reduced clotting as the diclofenac or other nsaids.
