Male, 22 years of age, obese (130 kgs), 180 cm, I was a smoker from 2018-2021, I decided to quit smoking on 8th april 2021, I have been experiencing pain and discomfort in my chest ever since, no cough, no fever, no breathlessness. Especially at night the pain is noticeable and any exertion caused the muscles near my collar bones to hurt, almost like sore chest muscles and there's internal pain as well. I consulted my physician and he recommended a ecg and a chest xray, ecg is normal but chest xray shows inflammation in lungs and he says it looks like bronchitis. He gave me a course of antibiotics and muscle relaxants for 5 days and I was feeling alright, now after 3 days of the course I feel 30% of the pain has returned and every now and then, especially at night in bed the pain in my chest is noticeable. I still have no cough, no cold, no fever and have been off smoking for 18 days now. Please explain my problem as to why this might be happening, is it the nicotine withdrawal symptoms?
