I'm a patient of diabetes since my second pregnancy. My baby is eight months now. Since then I was prescribed glycomet 800sr twice a day. After delivery sugar level was found nearly normal. Then dose was reduced to glycomet 800 sr once a day. After hba1c found nearly a normal further dosage were reduced to glycomet 500sr twice a day. Now after three months sugar level found before meal is 81 and after meal is 108. Can I reduce dose further to glycomet 500sr once a day? Please guide me!

Hello, thanks for the query. The glucose levels mentioned are quite normal. You may try to reduce the dosage as mentioned. Then check the glucose levels, if those remain with in normal range then please continue that. Thanks.

Diabetes in pregnancy likely undergoes remission and may come back. You need a doc help to monitor parameters and decide whether you can come off tablets.
