My wife is having pain in her big toe, knee, hand joins from 3 days. We had consulted the Dr. and he prescribed to take dolokind plus and pantop d for 3 days. As she is lactating and dolokind plus seems not safe for lactating mothers is there any alternatives available? She had developed the pain post fever wherein Dr. had advised to take dolo 650 3 times a day and taxim o 200 for 5 days which she completed and post that she developed knee, toe and hand pain.

Lot of things to be considered regarding the symptoms. Need to think of rheumatoid arthritis//hyperuricemia//multiple joint aches associated with viral infections. During lactation it is safe to take paracetamol. Other medications needs abstinence from feeding ideally.

First of all you need to understand as your wife is lactating there are very few drugs which can be given to her and as she is having pain after fever it seems like she may be having post viral arthralgia which will come down with time and as far as her pain is concerned safest drug she can take is paracetamol 500 mg tid and she needs to get some physiotherapy which will relieve her pain .do not worry her pain will subside within a week.
