Sir, I checked my sugar level this month 7th of may .my sugar level is fasting blood sugar 167 mg/dl and after lunch 230 mg/dl. I have tab. Okamet 500 mg. I can take this tab. If yes to how is taking this medicine? Thanking you.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Both fasting and after food glucose levels are high. So you do need treatment for diabetes. However, it is not possible to just say go ahead and take the tablets that you have mentioned to control glucose levels. There is a need to look at your weight, height, extent of daily exercise, hba1c%, lipid profile, dietary habits, bp readings and then can decide about taking medicine/s to control blood glucose and also what other precautions you need to take.
