Hello multiple gall stones usually require removal of the gall bladder (cholecystectomy). If your mother is fit for surgery I would suggest a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Consult a good laparoscopic surgeon for proper checkup and advice. Regarding what food you will give her. Avoid foods very high in oils and fats. Also avoid spicy foods. Give small meals frequently rather than big meals at longer intervals. Give her lots of fluids. Regards.

Multiple calculi in gall bladder pose a risk to develop into cancer of the gall bladder and hence need to be removed operatively. Consult a general surgeon in your area to get it operated. Regarding the pain, do check if the pain is radiating to the hands, shoulder or left jaw, because it might be a sign of heart disease. If it is not then it must be due to the stones in gall bladder, take a painkiller sos for that.
