I am in age of 62 years and 25 years old diabetic taking glucored ford 2 tablets in morning and 2 tablets in evening after meals but now I am feeling that this medicine is not that much effective me. Can you suggest some other medicines?

It is necessary to know following details before any suggestions can be made :1 1) your weight, height, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise 2) fasting and pp glucose plus hba1c%, which will give an idea of current glucose control. 3) correct dosage that are you on totally 4 tablets of glucosred forte, that means you are on 20 mg of glibenclamide and 2000 mg metformin, is that right? 4) what is the lipid profile and bp reading? 5) have got your eyes checked for ruling out any retinal involvement?\please come back with all these details. Glibenclamide is less used now a days. Plus it is having a very prolonged action and hence in older persons can lead to severe hypoglycemic episodes. Therefore, please come back with all the necessary details in a private conversation, where you can upload all the reports.
