I mis-carried at 19 weeks. This happened after I was admitted twice to the hospital for bleeding, first at 6 weeks the and 14 weeks. The painless bleeding would stop after a day. every time I bled, he would use a scan and could not see where the bleeding came from, and the baby was having a healthy heartbeat. Both times I had no pains and the doctor prescribed progesterone pills. This doctor has said that in my next pregnancy I would need to have a cervical cerclage done. I want to find out if this was normal procedure, was there something he could have done differently?

No nothing different was possible. If you had comparitively painless abortion or mild pain only. Products were coming out from cervix was main picture then you need cervical circlage operation next time
