I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Most eye floaters are caused by age-related changes that occur as the jelly-like substance (vitreous) inside your eyes becomes more liquid. Microscopic fibers within the vitreous tend to clump and can cast tiny shadows on your retina. The shadows you see are called floaters. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello. Floaters can be physiological (normal) or pathological (abnormal). Physiological floaters are due to tiny condensed vitreous and are not damaging to the eye at all other than giving a floating particle sensation, so can be ignored. Pathological floaters on the other hand can be dangerous as they maybe due to an impending retinal tear/ detachment. These floaters if not timely managed, can be vision threatening. If identified early, can be treated with laser and/or surgery. No type of medicine has proven results in making them disappear permanently. Kindly consult an eye doctor for further queries. Thank you.
