My nephew who is 7 years old tested positive in sugar test. His sugar levels were 500+ at the time of joining in hospital (5 days back), now his sugar levels are fluctuating in range of 60 to 250 so far (we use to test 3 times a day), based on the value we're giving apidra and lantus insulins (doctor suggests the units based on values). In a day, we use to give him 5 insulins, and kid is not okay with those injections. Now I would like to know is there any way to give single insulin a day or no insulin with a perfect diet? Please let me know. Doctor said, his pancreas got infected and stopped producing insulin. Is it life long? Or kid may get recovered as he ageing.
