Taking thyronorm 50 and 75 at alternate days from last 3 months. Feeling irregular and faster heart beats. Bp 130/95 (taking cilacar t) hr is 112 bpm checked thyroid profile tsh - 0.07 free t4 - 2.86 (lab range 0.89 to 1.76) can I directly reduce the dose to 50 mcg or need consultation.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Your tsh is too low. In a well controlled hypothyroid patient it should be around 3 to4 mu/l. O.o7 mu/l means it has gone towards hyperthyroidism. That is the reason for faster heart beats and increased bp but t4 level is low, that appears to be incorrect. Because with such a low tsh total t4 will have to be almost over 12 ug/ml. Free t4 is also high. What is the total t4 level? It is clear that your current dosage is quite high. Thanks.
