My mother is diabetic and was using glycomet gp1 from 1 year and the doctor now changed to glycomet gp1 forte sr. Her blood glucose levels are in range with medication. Is there any difference between the two?

Hello, thanks for the query. Tablet glycomet gp 1 forte contains more of metformin (850 mg) compared to glycomet gp 1, where metformin is 500 mg. That is the difference. Additional drug should be useful for providing better glucose control. Thanks.
