I have cervical spondylosis and I had pain radiating from my neck down to my left arm. I also had dizziness and weakness in my arms and legs while walking. Doctor prescribed me renerve plus, have been taking for about 2 weeks now. My symptoms have reduced. I have almost no pain episodes but I do get that weakness and dizziness on a milder level from time to time. How long does this medicine take until I feel totally fine without symptoms?

Hi, This is not Malarial fever, when a doctor gives medicines and you are cured. Here the time of recovery depends on how much care you take, regular medicines you take and the response your body gives. It takes at least 4-6 weeks. If you are getting improvement, you should continue medicines and take care.

If symptoms are still persisting you need to go for mri cervical spine and thorough physical examination to be done and decide later on ,there is no guarantee that 100% it will subside depends on the condition of the problem if any.

Take proper meals and then only take this tablet..Without proper food and fluid intake this tablet can cause you mild drowsiness the next day..You can take it for 3 or 4 weeks and then reassess...Avoid pillows,do neck strengthening exercises..If no improvement, then I suggest for an xray initially and mri if needed.

Respected Lybrate user. After cervical spondylosis there might be small muscle weakness and small nerve sensations are there but don't feel worry because it may present for few days. So take some precautions and some ex's / activities for complete resolving. Again consult your doctor.
