I am diabetes mellitus type 2 patient. I am taking metformin 500 sr+glimepiride 2 mg tablet bds after meals. Even then my fasting sugar is 126 mg/dl. What should I do? Which one is homeopathic medicine?

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details written. Since the query has come to me I am answering it even though I am diabetologist practicing modern medicine. I have no idea about homeopathy. However, for controlling blood glucose only effective medication from the modern drugs only. No other drugs help. Those can be taken as additional help, where clinical evidence is almost nil. From the given information it is difficult to give any clear suggestion as vital details like after food glucose, hba1c%, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile, serum creatinine and urea are not given. So please come back with all the necessary information then I will be able to guide in achieving better glucose control. At your age hba1c% of around 7% is fine. Thanks.
