What's the effective drug for high blood pressure with anxiety. I am using olmezest h20 this drug controls high blood pressure but not control anxiety. Pls suggest.

But i'll suggest that you go for psychological counseling/therapy as well for anxiety. A combination of medication and therapy will work best. Especially cognitive behaviour therapy is proven and widely used to treat anxiety. Therapy will also help you in the long term. It depends on the blood pressure, age, family history and many factors. Ideal is to treat the anxiety with a course of ssris and see if it brings the bp down, before starting to take antihypertensives. Consult any psychiatrist in person or online for remedy. Good luck.

Hi, I am trying to relate to your problem and feel that you are missing the most important part and that is the efforts to work on your anxiety. Do take medication if need be but also work on your anxiety to get rid of it completely. Counselling can help you immensely. Try it to believe it. Counselling, especially cbt (cognitive behavioral therapy) given by an expert will help you to calm down, get rid of irrational and negative thoughts, throw away the fear that something bad might happen - the classic symptoms of anxiety.
