Mr. lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Fasting glucose 160 mg is quite high and so is the pp glucose level. This suggests there is a need to give a close look at your overall treatment. To do that I need to know your dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, hba1c%, lipid profile, serum creatinine & urea apart from correct dosage of all medications being taken. At your age ideally fbg should be < 100 mg or closer to it, pp should be 150 o 170 mg & hba1c% < 6.5%. If one maintains this kind of a control then the long term complications associated with diabetes can be postponed or may take longer to set in. Therefore, my suggestion is please come in a private conversation with all the details that I have asked for, then I will be abe to give specific advise and even prescribe necessary drugs if needed.
