I am 69 and ever since I was young I had elevated diastolic blood pressure. At 26 I had a reading of 130/90. My highest ever in my late 40's was 180/120. I am on 5 mg ramipril daily and I exercise a lot but today I had a reading of 117/85. What could cause this and is it dangerous?

Do you have any symptoms at that bp. If not then no need to worry 117/85 bp is good. Check your bp on regular basis. If you find your bp is fluctuating please consult your doctor. Do your exercise in moderation and check yourself before vigorous training.
