I am suffering from thyroid. Currently I am taking 88 mg thyronorm medicine. My latest tsh reading is 11.154. Should I increase it to 100 mg?

Prabita ji, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. When a person is on adequate dosage of levothyroxine tsh level is usually maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l at which there are no symptoms and condition is well under control. With tsh at 11.54 mu/l, it is clear that current dosage is not adequate. It would have been better if you had mentioned the t3 & t4 levels too, that would have given a clearer picture. However, it is necessary for you to increase the dosage to 100 mcg per day and then check tsh (thyroid profile) again after 6 weeks to see if desired level is achieved. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
