Mr. lybrate-user kiran, thanks for the query. From the question that you have asked, it is difficult to give any clear answer. Because thee is no mention of actual glucose levels and hba1c%. Usually glimiperide is given either once or at the most twice a day, with an optimum dosage of 4 mg a day. (even though the companies claim 8 mg as maximum dosage, there is really no additional benefit noticed with more than 4 mg per day dose). Voglibose is recommended thrice a day with food & metformin can be taken for three times a day. However, there is a need to know what is exactly "high blood sugar" plus there is a need to know other details like weight, height, extent of daily exercise. Dietary pattern and serum creatinine and urea. I hope you understand the requirement. If you have any questions please do come back. It is better if you come back with all the details in a private conversation where I will be able to clarify all the doubts and even recommend drugs required. Thanks.
