It is advisable to wait for 2 days after surgery before washing/cleaning the wound. You can soak the area in clear warm water for up to 10 minutes and then dab the area dry. Don't rub. After that apply the ointment. This can be done twice a day. 3. After about 1 week / 7 days using soap for a gentle wash should also be fine. 4. The wound may take up to 10 days to heal but the pain will get better in 3-4 days. In any case, its best to follow the operating surgeon's instructions. Hope I have answered your questions.
