I take psych meds cariprazine and valproate and high strength fish oil. Since starting inderal la 20 mg for anxiety I feel not intolerably so but mildly cold in chest. Apart from warm foods is there a mild non central nervous acting supplement that might help warmth? I looked into acetyl carnitine but hoping for your advice. Thanks for any advice. The weather is pretty warm here and I sweat reasonably so. I do not feel cold on the outside of body only a bit in chest. Anything to help for a period of time while the side effect subsides?

I think the coldness that you mention in chest is medically impossible to happen in isolation, i, e that chilling sensation which happens only in chest is most likely part of your anxiety and not due to external [ environmental ] temperature. If if was related to environmental temperature, it would have affected whole of your body and not chest/ heart region as you mention. So, I would suggest you to get evaluated by a psychiatrist for managing these residual symptoms. Unless you tell us what was the previous problem for which you are taking medications, it becomes difficult to conclusively tell what is the root cause of your problem, so better to take a consult in person or online before taking any further action.

It is unusual to have a cold only in one part of your body, especially your chest. If you continue to experience these symptoms, see if they are associated with any other symptoms like acidity or pain in the arms. You may need to consult a cardiologist. Eating less warm food may be helpful. However, this is, like I already said, unusual, and I would not put my money on this suggestion.
