Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Usually in diabetes if blood glucose is not well controlled for many years, then it does tend to affect kidney functions. So there can be some amount of proteinuria. Since you have not given other details like hba1c%, fasting & pp glucose, serum creatinine, urea, extent of microalbuminuria or albuminuria, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, bp readings and lipid profile, it is difficut to comment further.
