I am a 42-year-old male. I diagnose with diabetes on 13th march my sugar range was 217/395. Dr. prescribe me vildambic-m50-500 with glimestar1 one tab. Each before breakfast and one vildambic-m50-500 before dinner. After 20 days my strict diet last 3 days my sugar range was 82/126, 76/104, 88/109, (so Dr. stop glimestar1) and today range was 97/117. So my question is this is normal, should I continue with this or should I stop/change what to do?

Hello, thanks for the query. The glucose levels have come down because of medication plus dietary control (if that is being done) plus regular exercise (again if you are doing it). If you stop the medication the glucose levels will again shoot up. Ideally when on appropriate treatment the glucose should be as follows: fasting < 100 mg, pp 14 mg or so. Hba1c% < 6.50%. So please continue the medication as advised plus do follow diet control and regular exercise. Thanks.
