Hello doctor, my kid is 20 months old and has been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis. Initially I referred a pediatrician but they said its a chronic condition and symptoms will come and go. Only solution is to maintain good skin hygiene. He wakes up every night itching and sleep disturbed. It is even difficult to take him out, as some or the other reason he starts itching while sweating or exposure to atmosphere. His scalp has white flakes. His skin is all hardened at certain places like back of body, on legs and pimple type formation on face, hand. His quality of life is getting severely affected because of this. Is there no permanent cure for it?
