I am 25-year-old female I have t2 hyperintense expensive lesion seen in the dorsal cord extending from d8-d12 level. The lesion appear eccentrically bulging from the right lateral aspect. Mild patchy heterogeneous nodular post-contrast enhancement seen. No evidence of any cystic changes or blood products. The rest of the cord otherwise appears unremarkable.

Regards Lybrate user. The findings in t2 image of mri sequences need to be clinically correlated. The specification of hyperintense lesion, simply means there is more fluids in that area. Fluids tend to appear bright white in t2 images of mri. The findings need to be discussed with the radiologist (doctor who specializes in investigative findings like x-ray, mri, ultrasound etc) and your doctor who recommended the mri. It is recommended to ask your physician, in regard to the findings, if they are related to the symptoms perceived.
