My hba1c is 9.1 and average blood sugar is 223.1. When I consulted a doctor, I was only prescribed nestle resource diabetic. Is this sufficient? Don't I need any medication?

Hello, thanks for the query. Madam, I have seen the details mentioned. The hba1c% is quite high. At your age ideally fbg should be <100 mg or closer to it, pp should be 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% <7%. Therefore, 9.1% hba1c% shows totally uncontrolled diabetes. This needs an up gradation of current treatment. Which means there is a need to look your dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, height & weight, drugs being taken and lipids. In my opinion only nestle resource diabetic powder alone cannot control your diabetes. Along with life style modifications ,you need two tablets 1. Tab. Metformin 500 mg 2.tab. Sitazit er 100 mg for more you can contact with me on line by paid audio consultation.

Resource diabetic is actually very good. If you feel any weakness, you can add nestle resource protein as well. As for blood sugar control, you can start with himalaya diabecon ds, very impressive product it is.
