I am a 42 year male suffering from hypothyroidism since 2 years. Now I am taking 150 microgram thyroxin. At times I feel joint pain, speech trouble and back pain. Is there a cure for it or not. What would be the diet, precaution and measures to be taken.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Hypothyroidism can lead to a wide spectrum of issues like myalgia, fatigue, weight gain etc. For your joint pain, initially you can start with anti inflammatory medications, start with intensive physical therapy, take adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation and let me know in 2-3 weeks time how you are feeling. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
