I am 50 year old male with thyroid levels asunder as on 2 april 2015:- t3 - 1.90 mg/ml t4 - 11.87 mg/dl tsh - 0.010 mu/ml I have been advised neomercazole (carbazimine) 5 mg. But for the last 3 months I also have severe itchy patches (thickened and scaly dark skin) in the groin area of the thigh but not on genitals, which causes a lot of itch and scratching. Smaller patches have also appeared on my neck and chin, red and itchy. Please diagnose and advise.

Dear this itchy patches may be because of some fungal infection. You can try applying candid cream twice a day and apply some talcum powder to keep the area dry. If it does not help, then you hv to visit the doctor personally.
