My friend is admitted in hospital for a disease known as epileptic seizure. But he hasn't shown any common symptoms of epilepsy. Is any mild form of epilepsy which does not show any symptoms & is it permanent?

Epileptic person has to take the drugs for whoole of his life. But usually said if for three years seizures are controlled then no need of medicine but then has to take full prescautions as in epilepsy.
