Hi lybrate-user, depiwhite contains hydroquinone which is a potent skin lightening agent. However, when used for long periods of time it may cause abnormal pigmentation of skin, a condition called as exogenous ochronosis. If you have pigmentation problems for which your doctor might have prescribed you depiwhite, its a good idea to only use it for the recommended duration and switch to non hydroquinone containing skin lightening cream for maintenance therapy. Hope this helps.
