I am 19 male and have severe upper tooth protrusion with smaller chin, I already had 2 upper tooth extracted, and the gap has been covered up. Will me getting braces be sufficient to correct the protrusion or will I need jaw surgery.

Hi, most of the time, when the upper teeth are protruted/proclined, the lower chin might appear smaller or retruded. As you are undergoing your braces treatment (hoping, from an orthodontist) the dentist would definitely inform you if there is a need for surgery. But still if you need a confirmation ,it can be said only after seeing x-rays and other required investigations.

Hello this is an extremely difficult question to answer without photographs or a physical visit. The amount of protrusion, flaring, overlap of teeth etc need to be measured and this decides if only orthodontic treatment will help or will surgical correction be required.
