Hi sir this is uday. Last 1 week back I did get injection from primary care provider for some pain. I don't see he do change syringe and needle. After complete injection I asked to him are you changed to new syringe he said yes I did it. But I can't believe to him. I did get injection near my glutes site. The injection name is intramuscular injection. Can I get any chance an infection through injection.

Using un sterile technique like contaminated needle or syringe may result in many harmful effects. Commonest is pyaemic infection like swelling, hardness, pus formation at the injection site, body pain and fever etc very next day or so. If so see a good doctor . Some patients are wise enough to carry a newly purchased disposal needle to hand it over to person about to give injection.
