It is important to have any changes or abnormalities in the testicles checked by a healthcare professional as soon as possible. Shrinking or retraction of one testicle can be a sign of a serious underlying condition, such as testicular cancer or a testicular torsion. I would recommend that you schedule an appointment with a urologist or a healthcare provider who specializes in men's health. During your appointment, the provider will perform a physical exam, which may include an ultrasound, to determine the cause of the changes in your testicle. In the meantime, it is important to avoid any activities that may cause further injury or damage to the affected area. If you are experiencing any pain, swelling, or discomfort, over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen may provide temporary relief. If you have any further questions or concerns, I am available to schedule a consultation and discuss your symptoms in more detail.
