Hello lybrate-user. Blepharitis occurs due to a combination of (1) improper eye hygiene, (2) internal hormonal environment of the body, (3) external environmental factors, (4) dietary intake. I have a few suggestions for you: in addition to the neosporin-h that you are using follow these: (a) use johnson's baby shampoo to apply on your eyelashes while bathing. Keep it applied for 2 minutes with eyes closed; subsequently clean your eyes with water. This will result in debulking of the crust that forms on the eyelids. (b) hot fomentation: use clean lukewarm water and clean (medical grade) cotton to gently clean your eyelids. Do this atleast twice in a day. (c) use a lubricating eye drop (eg. Systane ultra, refresh tears, frenix, zyaqua) use the eye drop 4 to 5 times in a day. Don't take your eyes for granted! protect your sight with these six tips: 1. Eat for good vision 2. Quit smoking 3. Wear sunglasses / helmets to shield your eyes from dust, sunlight, pollution 4. Wash your eyes 3-4 times a day 5. Look away from the computer screen at regular intervals 6. Avoid rubbing your eyes with fingers/ cloth/ shirt/ dupatta, etc. This should be strictly followed. All these suggestions may take a while to sink in and imbibe in your routine. Once followed, they are sure to work wonders for you. Hope my suggestions helped you.
