Dear Dr. I am 45 years old suffering from hypertension. I was put on medications about two months ago. I have since been on amlodipine and telma h, atenolol and nifedipine and currently on nebivolol and nifedipine. The frequent changes have been largely due to resulting hypotension and low pulse especially with amlodipine and atenolol. The biggest challenge though is that my bp is very labile that it fluctuates with huge margins within minutes or seconds. Worse still my bp tolerance has drastically reduced such that at 125 systolic pressure I begin experiencing bp effects such as headache, chest pains etc. I an unable to engage in any physical activity at this tolerance.
