Hi! I have symptoms of depression and went to a doctor for treatment. She gave me saridon tablet 50 mg and omeprazole 20 mg. I searched in google and found that omeprazole is a tablet used for gastric problem. My question is why she gave me omeprazole tablet for depression symptoms? Is my treatment procedure is good or should I consult a specialist?

Yes, you are right that omeprazole is given to treat various conditions like gastric irritation, heartburn, acid reflux, etc. The medication you mentioned can cause gastric irritation; thus, it is advised to take omeprazole along with it. I will suggest you consult a psychiatrist for your symptoms as he is better trained to treat your depressive symptoms. If you are comfortable with online consultation you can contact us for an appointment.
