Hello Sanjay, if your father had diabetes, its not a sure shot signal that you will develop it. So do not worry!! The people who have diabetes in the family may have a slight more tendency to develop it due to the susceptibility and genetic disease theory . But there are many who have a strong tendency of diabetes in the family but still they do not have diabetes . Hence its not a fixed law. The best way to keep diabetes away is to avoid stress(by meditating, relaxing, loving and caring your family and colleagues). Do not forget to exercise & move, because if one does not move he stops. One may develop not only diabetes but other disorders also. Eat healthy daily and unhealthy very occasionally. Try not to be a big planner but live in present, and use HOMEOPATHY. More one uses homeopathy, more his immunity develops. Homeopathy works tremendously good for diabetic complications and in many cases it can cure Diabetes too.
