Mr. Lybrate-user, the glucose levels mentioned show that it is totally uncontrolled diabetes. Hba1c% has not been mentioned. It is essential to have fasting blood sugar closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg/100 ml & hba1c% <7. Otherwise you are inviting serious long term complications of diabetes like retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy, foot ulcers, non healing foot ulcers and amputation as well as silent heart attacks. So my suggestion is to start immediate treatment with appropriate medications, plus regular exercise and diet control.
