As we see variation in skin color, similar variation is seen in teeth color. But if your teeth were whiter but have become yellowish now, get it checked for calculus deposits, aggressive brushing, persistent gastric acidity, consuming too much tea/coffee/carbonated drinks, any habit of smoking, alcohol etc, type of diet you follow. Use any white toothpaste, avoid gels or tooth powder. Refrain from habit of tobacco or alcohol consumption, if any?. Seek medical help if required. Get oral prophylaxis (scaling and root planing) done, in which the dentist will clean up all the calculus and stains. Get your teeth checked there shan't be any cavity or space between teeth for food lodgement, where food might get lodged decay and produce bad odour. Also check for plaque accumulation or gum pockets (gum are normally tightly attached to teeth but due to faulty brushing, microbial attack, plaque accumulation gums become loose like a pocket) where small food particles accumulate and produce bad breath. If thats the problem, scaling and proper brushing with mouthrinses will help. Clean tongue regularly. Learn correct method of brushing. Check for gastric upset if any. Gastric acidity does also produce bad breath. Increase water intake, manage diet plans and check for medical help if required.

The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.
