I got an rct done for lower tooth 7 right side. I got a crown. Now x ray shows gap between crown and last wisdom tooth and I am getting views that I have to remove the wisdom tooth and redo the crown for 7. There is no other way is it?

Most likely you may have to change or redo the crown. But removal of wisdom tooth will depend on the gap or space between the two. If the space is self cleansing after the crown change, then no need to remove. If the gap creates a problem by food impaction, therby causing you the decay then yes, you will have to go with this treatment plan.

If your rc treatment teeth is not damaged you can get your wisdom teeth removed. First tell your doctor to remove crown of 7 and remove wisdom teeth then after few days place the crown back if it is properly fitting.

Dear patient, there is no need to re do the crown for 7, unless your wisdom tooth is not get locked/blocked underneath its distal end. Infact in that worse case too, wisdom tooth can skilfully be removed without disturbing the crown on 7. Remember:- skillfully (u need an experienced surgeon for that)
