Doing all works very slowly thus going to bed late early morning by 2 or 3 am. My question is whether due to thyroid these are all happen or is she mentally retarded? please answer.

Your wife is suffering from hyperthyroidism and is far from mental retardation. I am concerned that you do reach such an unrelated connection. Any doctor would have told you that these are symptoms of hyperthyroidism. Perhaps you are not visiting the doctor along with her and therefore have not known her actual condition. The symptoms of hyperthyroidism include the following: fatigue or muscle weakness, hand tremors, mood swings, nervousness or anxiety, rapid heartbeat, heart palpitations or irregular heartbeat, skin dryness, trouble sleeping, weight loss, increased frequency of bowel movements, light periods or skipping periods. When the thyroid gland is overactive (hyperthyroidism) the body? s processes speed up and she may experience nervousness, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, hand tremor, excessive sweating, weight loss, and sleep problems, among other symptoms. Go meet her doctor and find out if that is all the treatment she needs, and be supportive to her all through this time. In medical matters always be well informed before forming any opinion of your own, especially if the doctor is available and is treating her.

Sir, you please cross check your endocrinologist about normalcy of thyroid medications. Once he gives a clear signal about his concern, then we can think this is endocrine related psychiatric disorder, which are very much common in such cases and managed easily.
