Hi, I am a 24 years old married lady. I hadn't got my periods for 3 months. But I was not pregnant. I visited a gynecologist, he gave me medicines called meprate10, folic acid and zincovit. Doctor told me that after consuming 10 meprate10 for 5 days, I will definitely got my periods. But till now I don't get. I have completed my medicine course for 3 days. Please suggest what to do?

Meprate is progesterone hormone. If your lining is primed by oestrogen hormones prior to this treatment (which happens naturally in most of the cases) then you get your periods a few days (7-10) after stopping treatment. If you do not get means you need oestrogen+progesterone tab. I hope ultrasonography and other blood reports are done.

You need to wait for at least 10 days after stopping meprate to see if your periods come. If still they don't then repeat a urine pregnancy test again to be sure there is no pregnancy. If still negative your medication will have to be changed.
