Dear Aditya, Congratulations for quitting smoking for 12 days. Earlier you plan to quit, easier it is. Please thank flu and sore throat for it. Flu usually has other symptoms like sore throat with it. It may not be cancer now. That does not mean that you will not get throat cancer if you continued smoking. However if your sore throat bothers you or if you have white patches inside mouth after 7 days, better go for a check up to your doctor. Please do NOT restart smoking. Let the fear of cancer come to your mind if friends offer you cigarettes.
