Im 24 n I have just completed my studies last year. Therefore, not having myself employed in any field and parents not allowing me to tie a knot is putting me into stressful state of mind, unable to think anything positive .Although I and my boyfriend's parents are mentally ready. I'm seriously depressed.

Communicate with your parents about why they won't let you marry. If direct communication is not possible, involve a family member or friend to intervene. If that does not work either, take the help of a psychologist/ counselor/ psychiatrist. In the meanwhile, set some life goals for yourself. Take up a job or do a course that will help you in the field of your choice. Marriage is an important part of your life, but it is not everything. It is possible once you give this situation some time, things will work out. However if you are feeling suicidal or hopeless, consult a psychiatrist immediately.
